New Access Analog Chain: 5059 Satellite + MBC
Curious what analog summing actually sounds like? Now you can try our 5059 Satellite summing mixer from your own DAW, thanks to Access Analog and the technological wizardry of their Analog Matrix Plugin*.
*Of course, we encourage you to contact your favorite RND dealer for a demo in real life too. For logistical reasons, the 5059 in Access Analog is limited to a single stereo bus (instead of two), and doesn’t have insert functionality like an in-person unit…but it’s definitely enough to give you an idea of the power of analog summing.
Access Analog’s 5059 unit is wired directly into a Master Bus Converter for A-D conversion on the return trip to you, so you can also experiment with the MBC’s final analog limiter, custom transformer, and Silk saturation circuitry.

How does it work?
2
Make a reservation on the Access Analog website for the 5059 Summing + Master Bus Converter Chain. Use code 5059-mbc-trial for a free session!
3
In the plugin, connect and then select the chain in the routing panel at your reservation time. You’ll find it under “Chains > 5059 + MBC”.
4
Also in the plugin, click “Source” on the left, where you can upload audio files for each summing input channel – then tweak levels, pans, and Silk in the 5059, and voila – instant analog summing, all captured through the Master Bus Converter. Don’t forget to try the MBC’s limiter (and transformers) too!
Can I see the robotics?
Sure! Here are the robotics mounted to the 5059 (top) and MBC (bottom).
Can I see more?
We don’t have more for the 5059 + MBC chain specifically, but here’s a time-lapse showing the installation of the Access Analog robotics on a Master Bus Transformer, our original announcement video (for the Access Analog MBT) explaining how it all works, and some photos of the robotics.
