“I don’t really do a whole lot of outboard, and I love my S6L, but I was VERY pleased when I tried the 5059 Satellite. It adds space – width, depth, obviously tonal qualities, sure – but what really shocked me was using Silk. Blue on one stereo bus (music) to add girth, Red on the other stereo bus (vocals) to add sheen. Every day, depending on the PA and the room, little tweaks to the Silk would make a huge difference, and I found myself using EQ less.”
“Also, loving our RNDI on our bass – it’s all I use, no mic or anything else. I was able to A/B with other DIs and was really happy with the results. So much so that I was able to undo some processing I had on the bass DI channel.”
