Kyle Gerhart: The MBP + MBT + MBC Hat Trick!

When we saw that FOH Engineer Kyle Gerhart (Scott Stapp, Fuel) had added an MBT to his rig – thus completing the MBP + MBC + MBT trifecta – we couldn’t resist reaching out to ask how everything was sounding. Thanks for being a fan, Kyle!

“For me, the MBP is essential for creating the stereo image I prefer in my mixes. When combined with the MBC, the brick wall limiting keeps my mixes in check and consistent, as well as proving a way to keep the number of AD/DA jumps to a minimum. I utilize the MBC as my master clock as well for my gear. Just engaging the clock and transformer instantly improves the sonic clarity.”

“Since I had already incorporated the MBP and MBC to my Main L&R mix, I decided to use the MBT on my stereo guitar bus. With having no real amps on stage, the MBT really woke up my guitar sound. It added width and grit that I was missing from the modelers and made them feel more real. You can't replace the sound of transformers.”
