On Tour with Lana Del Rey
We caught up with FOH Engineer Dani Muñoz just before the recent Lana Del Rey stadium run to talk through his rig, learn about his mixing philosophies, and discover his biggest challenges while mixing one of the most recognizable voices in modern music.
Then today, just before we published this video, Dani posted the following photos and text. We asked for permission to share, and here it is:

back when we were at rehearsals putting this show together, i didn’t quite understand where we were going but i think we all knew deep in our heart of hearts to trust 𝓱𝓮𝓻 process.
with lana everything can be a bit enigmatic. that’s probably why i love working with her because it also challenges every preconception or safety blanket that i could resort to when it comes to doing my job.
on this tour, she pushed the boundaries of what a stadium show could be. she broke the rules and did things her own way, and there’s really nothing more beautiful and gratifying than to watch her succeed at that and connect deeply with hundreds of thousands of people who i watched sing and cry every night.
i’ll never forget this experience @honeymoon
the breathtaking sound of so many souls singing along to your songs in one room reminds me why i have the best job in the world. thank you for trusting me with your sound and taking me on this amazing ride. it is an honor of a lifetime to do this with you.
and to the amazing and hardest working team of humans who made this possible, you have all my respect and admiration.
