Recording the Sounds of ‘Dune’ During the Pandemic

Composer / producer / bassist Juan Garcia-Herreros, known as ‘Snow Owl’, contacted us early on in the pandemic about a recording setup that he could use for a forthcoming Hans Zimmer soundtrack project.

A year later, he produced this video about recording bass tracks for the movie ‘Dune’ during lockdown using his Rupert Neve Designs equipment. We are proud to share this video, and proud to have played some small part in the otherworldly sounds of this phenomenal score.

From Snow Owl:

The pandemic has struck at the core of many musician's lives. This is a tale of a soundtrack born in a lockdown thanks to the generosity of those amazing souls whose helpful acts of kindness kept us musicians afloat.

Thank you Hans Zimmer, Rupert Neve Designs and sE Electronics for keeping the music alive.
