The 5088 Custom LEGO® Building Set is Back (and Better)

*UPDATE: As of December 7th, 2022 at 12:08pm EST, these sets have now sold out.*

The 5088 is the culmination of Rupert Neve’s vast analog circuitry knowledge, and the only console built today with the same dedication to sound quality found in his most legendary vintage designs.

…and now it’s also a custom LEGO® building set.

Last year, we created a special edition 5088 Custom LEGO® Building set and it was quite well-received, to put it mildly. We only made 150 sets, and they sold out in just a few hours.

Last year’s set.

This made us happy – but also sad, because we know there are plenty of people who just didn’t go on Instagram for a few hours (usually a good idea, maybe not so much for those particular few hours) and missed out.

So we did it again, and this year we’re trying to give you a slightly better chance at grabbing one. We made twice as many sets, AND we’re giving you a heads-up: the sale drops next Wednesday, December 7th, at 12pm EST. Mark your calendars!*

This year’s set.

Also, this year’s set is better.

It’s got more channels. It’s got a penthouse section. It’s got upgraded speakers (recognize them?) and there’s a reverb remote unit that should look familiar. Also, there’s a tape machine.

In total, the set is made up of 373 original Lego® elements – including 79 custom-printed parts – and a booklet with very thorough assembly instructions. It was made in Berlin, Germany, it costs $175 USD (€175 EUR), and it will be sold exclusively on our webstore for USA customers, and exclusively at numode.net for European customers.

We had so much fun designing this set – and if you’re one of the lucky 300 people to grab one for yourself, we know you’ll love building it.

See you next Wednesday when they go on sale! And in the meantime…
