Introducing the 562: 500-Series Echo Chamber with Silk
New for April 2026, Rupert Neve Designs is proud to introduce the 562: 500-Series Echo Chamber with Silk.
The 562 marks the first time RND has released a 500-Series module occupying more than a single slot, and it comes in at a whopping six slots – enough to completely fill the company’s R6 500 Series rack, the PSU recommended for best performance. The company says this size is necessary to provide enough internal space for the miniature 4”x4”x3.5” concrete echo chamber, complete with a high-quality 50mm 2-way driver and three unique custom-built 1.5mm diaphragm transducers. The chamber itself is visible through a studio-grade triple-glazed air-gapped window on the front panel.
“Each of the three microphones brings a distinct sonic character to the table,” according to the company. Spaced out at different positions within the chamber, each of the three mics are selectable on the front panel, and the resulting signal can be adjusted with pre-delay from 0-250ms, a swept high-pass filter from 20Hz-250Hz, and a parallel blend path.
For further tonal shaping, a discrete two-band shelving EQ descended from the Newton Channel is included, along with the company’s popular Silk Red + Blue harmonic saturation circuit.
“Of course there are some great, high-quality echo chamber emulations available in the plug-in world these days,” says a company spokesperson. “But there’s no substitute for a real analog echo in a real analog chamber. We’re truly excited to show the world what the 562 can do.”
The 562: 500-Series Echo Chamber is now available worldwide with an MSRP of $2,499 USD / €2199 EUR (ex VAT) / £1899 GBP (ex VAT).
