Nathanial Murphy Has Questions: A Guitar-Focused Video with CME

RND’s Jonathan Pines recently had a chance to visit Chicago Music Exchange and sit down with their gear demo guru Nathanial Murphy to talk guitar tone, the Shelford Channel, and the RNDI. Here’s what happened!

From CME:

“Are you a guitar player who has gotten into recording in a home studio, but you—like Nathaniel—get intimidated by all the rackmount recording gear that studio engineers credit as key to achieving professional-grade recordings? Do you, too, find yourself wondering, ‘what’s a preamp, anyway?’ or, ‘are all DIs alike?’ Well, you’re in luck!”

“In this edition of Nathaniel Murphy has questions, the CME gear demo guru sits down to talk about ‘the Leo Fender and Les Paul of the recording world,’ with Jonathan Pines from Rupert Neve Designs (RND), who stopped by CME to help Nathaniel—and all our musical clientele—hear the difference between types of harmonic distortions available in RND’s Shelford Channel Preamp. Plus, watch the full video to hear how a bass guitar can really sound when plugged into an RNDI Active Transformer Direct Interface!”
