On Tour with Shinedown: FOH Andy Meyer
In addition to being one of the superstars of the live sound world, Andy Meyer also has the distinction of being one of the very first engineers to bring Rupert Neve Designs equipment out on the road nearly a decade and a half ago.
We've interviewed him a number of times over the years while he was mixing Madonna, Justin Timberlake and many more, but we had the chance to catch up with him at a recent Shinedown show in California to talk through his current rig, with a focus on his new OptoFET (and his 15-year old Master Buss Processor).

p.s. here’s a throwback photo from 2013, one of our first times hanging out with Andy. From left to right: Greg Price, Brad Madix, Richard Landers, Andy Meyer, and Ken “Pooch” Van Druten. These gentlemen have worked with too many artists to name here, but they’re all live sound legends. (Photo by RND’s own Jonathan Pines.)
