Composer / producer / bassist Juan Garcia-Herreros, known as ‘Snow Owl’, contacted us early on in the pandemic about building a remote recording setup that he could use to create the bass sounds for a forthcoming Hans Zimmer movie soundtrack. A year later, we are proud to have played some small part in the otherworldly sounds of this film.

After a long hiatus, Phish’s Summer and Fall 2021 tours are now underway with some upgrades to their live sound rig. Their long-time FOH Engineer Garry Brown is still running a Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 digital console, but with the new addition of 112 channels of Rupert Neve Designs RMP-D8 microphone preamplifiers, connected via Dante.

Shortly after Rupert’s passing earlier this year, our friend – and for some, former coworker – Lewis Frisch called to express his sincere condolences. He also mentioned that he’d like to write something up about Rupert’s life and impact, and we said we’d love to read it.
